Piemonte
Italy was divided in multiple more or less prosperous republics which habitually used to fall under the influence of Austria and France. One of the largest
among those states in that time was Piemount with its capital Tourine. The state included many Italian provinces: Alessandria, Asti, Cuneo, Novara, Vercelli
and others. In the Middle ages Piemount was a princedom in a dynasty union with Savoia. Since 1720 it comprised the core of the kingdom Sardaigne.
